Event

What is the event?

The online world evolves at a very fast pace. Children and young people are often the first to discover new technologies and, as professionals, it can feel like playing catch up. This workshop will ensure that the latest Ofsted requirements and trends are covered. It will discuss practical ways to ensure children have a greater understanding of how to keep themselves safe when using the internet and social media. How to discuss online safety when things are going well and how pupils can be educators in the delivery in the online safety message in your school. We will also look at how to maintain a professional reputation online and how managers are supporting staff to keep safe online. This will include online bullying and practical ways to deal with these issues when they arise. This workshop is for anyone supporting children and young people such as pastoral care, school staff, social workers, parents, carers or support staff.

Workshop content: Understanding Ofsted requirements. Wealth of very practical and instantly actionable strategies. Managing you and your staff’s online reputation. Help your school maintain professional standards.
