Making Sense of Challenging Behaviour (Parents & Carers Programme) Coastal West Sussex MIND

What is the event?

This is a half day course for people working with children and young people in West Sussex.

What will I learn? We look at the reasons for the behaviour and how positive behaviour can be encouraged and challenging behaviours reduced. Information on local resources that could be available to you and your child will be shared.

Course Aims To gain an understanding of why children and young people might display challenging behaviour To learn how to encourage positive behaviour To learn strategies to prevent challenging behaviour To learn strategies for responding to challenging behaviour To know local resources available to children, young people and their families in the local area Getting to the Venue The nearest train station to K2 is Crawley rail and then there is a bus service next to the station, which runs every 15 minutes directly to the venue. There is plenty of free car parking on site.

Timings and breaks The course runs from 9.30am - 2.30pm. Teas/coffees will be provided during the mid-morning break.

It is essential that you arrive on time and complete the course. If this is not possible please inform us by email before proceeding to book at training@coastalwestsussexmind.

Refreshments Tea and coffee will be provided during the mid-morning break. We will try and provide a caffeine free option but this cannot be guaranteed.

This course is heavily subsidised as it is a funded programme. Our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Please inform us if you are unable to take up your space as we can offer this to someone on our waiting list.
