Understanding School Support, Needs Assessment and Education & Health Care Plans (EHCPs) with COMPASS and MIND

What is the event?

Confused about processes? How should schools be supporting children with SEND? What is Assess, Plan, Do, Review? What if my child isn’t making progress? What is an EHCP? Does my child need one? How will it help?

So many questions…… This course is designed to answer some of them and help you to become more knowledgeable about the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice and how schools and the local authority support your child.

Getting to the Venue Parking is available at the venue although before 9:15am it may be more difficult due to school mini buses. There is some street parking. Horsham is the nearest station and it is a 15/20 minute walk.

Timings and breaks Teas/coffees will be provided during the mid-morning break.

It is essential that you arrive on time and complete the course. If this is not possible please inform us by email before proceeding to book at [email protected]

Refreshments Tea and coffee will be provided during the mid-morning break. We will try and provide a caffeine free option but this cannot be guaranteed.

This course is heavily subsidised as it is a funded programme. Our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Please inform us if you are unable to take up your space as we can offer this to someone on our waiting list.
