What is the event?

This is a free half day course for parents and carers who live in West Sussex.

Course Aims: This workshop identifies the importance of communication for an individual with ASC and ADHD, with an emphasis on the importance of motivational value and how this is paramount to their learning. This workshop will provide an overview of different communication system’s which includes Vocals, PECS, Sign Language and/or Technological Aids; and how to teach them. This workshop has been designed for parents and carers who have a child who is at the early stages of communication, with limited language.

Getting to the Venue The nearest train station to K2 is Crawley and then there is a bus service next to the station, which runs every 15 minutes directly to the venue. There is plenty of free car parking on site, including disabled spaces very close to the leisure centre.

Timings It is essential that you arrive on time and complete the course. If this is not possible please inform us by email before proceeding to book at [email protected]

Refreshments Tea and coffee will be provided mid-morning.

Cancellations Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course. As this is a funded programme our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Early notification may mean we can offer this space to someone on our waiting list.
