Parents Solution Circle - Coastal West Sussex MIND and ASPENS

What is the event?

This is a free half day course for parents and carers who live in West Sussex.

Course Aims: Solution Circles are a short and powerful tool. It’s effective in helping people to get unstuck from a problem in life or work. The tool which builds on community capacity, developed by Inclusive Solutions. It assumes and demonstrates how nearby people – in any community or work place have the capacity to help if asked. It requires a person to ASK – not an easy thing in our culture of privacy and ‘do it alone’. This tool puts all the values we espouse into practice. During this workshop we will introduce the tool and explain how it can be used. We will then include the participants (if they want) in a demonstration of a solution circle. It does not guarantee a solution, but it usually gets people unstuck and at least points to the next logical step. It also demonstrates that TOGETHER WE’RE BETTER.

Getting to the Venue By Car Follow the brown signs to the Regis Centre. They are between Belmont Street and the Esplanade, There is a large car park next door. You may find some free off-street parking in the roads nearby, within a 10 minute walk.

By Bus Take a bus to Bognor Regis High Street. Walk east towards the main shopping parade (London Road) and turn right through the arcade. We are located at the end of the arcade (5 minutes walk).

By Train Take a train to Bognor Regis station. Leave the station by the main exit through the booking hall. Turn left to the main shopping precinct (London Road). Cross into the arcade. We are located at the end (5 minutes walk).

Timings It is essential that you arrive on time and complete the course. If this is not possible please inform us by email before proceeding to book at [email protected]

Refreshments Tea and coffee will be provided mid-morning.

Cancellations Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course. As this is a funded programme our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Early notification may mean we can offer this space to someone on our waiting list.
