What is the event?
This is a full day course for professionals supporting parents and carers in West Sussex.
Course Aims:
•To give an introduction to the early development of infant mental health through their earliest relationships, including the social baby
•A brief introduction to the neuroscience and physiology of attachment.
•Explore maternal mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth and look at the impact of these on the parent-infant relationships and infant mental health.
•Explore options for early intervention and support available for families affected by these challenges.
Getting to the Venue
The nearest railway station is Crawley and this is a 3 minute walk away. Parking is available nearby but there is a cost as it is metered.
Timings
The course runs from 9.30pm - 4.30pm
Refreshments
Tea and coffee and caffeine-free options will be provided during the mid-morning and mid-afternoon break times. Lunch WILL NOT be provided.
Registration fee
Your £15 registration fee for this course helps towards the additional venue and refreshment costs. This is a non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations
Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course. As this is a funded programme our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Early notification may mean we can offer this space to someone on our waiting list.
