What is the event?
This is a full day course for people working or volunteering with young children of primary age.
Course Aims:
We will look at:
•how anxiety and low mood presents itself in young children
•trigger factors
•neurology and brain development
•the difference between normalising anxiety and low mood and disabling anxiety and low mood
•strategies for helping children to bounce back from adverse situations
•support services available for signposting
Getting to the Venue
The nearest train station to Field Place is Durrington rail and then a 10 minute walk. The Pulse is a bus service which runs regularly nearby. There is free car parking on site and disabled spaces.
Timings
The course runs from 9.30pm - 4.30pm
Refreshments
Tea and coffee and caffeine-free options will be provided during the mid-afternoon and mid-afternoon break times. Lunch WILL NOT be provided.
Registration fee
Your £20 registration fee for this course helps towards the additional venue and refreshment costs. This is a non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations
Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course. As this is a funded programme our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Early notification may mean we can offer this space to someone on our waiting list.
