Coping with Transitions - Coastal West Sussex MIND - YMCA Downslink

Event

What is the event?

This session is for parents and/or carers who are responsible for children and young people in West Sussex.

This course is being delivered through a partnership between Coastal West Sussex Mind, West Sussex County Council and West Sussex CCGs.

Course Aims:

This course offers the opportunity to think about the needs of children and young people in transition from either nursery to primary school or primary to secondary schools. It’s a chance to explore what might be considered normal responses to transitions or distress, and strategies to support children and young people’s own experience. You will also be able to consider when that distress might require a more structured specialist response and in some situations how any pre diagnosed developmental or mental health conditions can affect any approach.

Getting to the venue:

The Shoreham Centre is five minutes walk from Shoreham Train station. There is a public car park behind the building. This is 50p an hour for the first 4 hours then a £1.00 an hour after that.

Timings:

The course will run 18:30 - 20:30
