West Sussex Youth Voice Group

Event

What is the event?

An accessible session for young people to have their say and help services get better at what they do. Our meetings are relaxed and friendly . The group is for young people aged 14 to 25 who have an 'additional need'. Friends, brothers and sisters are welcome to come along too. Young people with a wide range of talents, abilities and interests are welcome - please let us know if you have any particular needs so we can make sure you get the most out of the group. We welcome PECS and Makaton users , just let us know so we can make sure we prepare materials properly for the session. Sessions include games/activities to get to know each other and arts activities to have your say in a fun way. Food and drink provided free of charge - usually sandwiches or pizza, please let us know if you have dietary requirements . Meet new people, have fun, have your say and let the people who make the big decisions know what you think. All sessions and events are free. Please book for our Voice Group meetings, as places are limited. Please contact [email protected] or call Rachel 07734000401 . Public car park by library. 3 disabled bays outside library. The library building is fully accessible. Parent carers are not expected to stay, however we are not able to provide personal care for young people during the session. If parent carers or a PA will need to stay, please feel free to relax in the library or enjoy a cup of tea with us. Please note- meetings also take place on alternate dates in Bognor , young people are welcome to attend both venues, or just the one closest to them.
