Half Term Participation Pop Up Worthing

Event

What is the event?

An informal drop in for young people with SEND aged 14 to 25, to find out more about our Youth Voice projects . A chance for young people to have your say, get involved, meet new people and have fun. The sessions will include some art activities, games, and a chance to give your views on Short Breaks activities for young adults. We very much welcome all needs, strengths and interests . Multi-sensory, Makaton and PECS friendly activities form part of these sessions. Sessions are free . Siblings and friends welcome ( please note these sessions and venues are not suitable for any unaccompanied children under 8, including siblings of young people. This is due to insurance and staffing levels ). Parent carers may stay and have a coffee and cake with us, or leave their young people for the session. We do ask that you please complete a emergency contacts, medical and consent form before the event or on arrival if you intend to leave your son/daughter with us for the session, and please ensure all young people (who are not travelling independently) are collected by 3pm. Tea, coffee, juice and snacks provided. If you have any dietary requirements please contact us to let us know. Please note, we are unable to provide personal care to young people at these events. Venues are wheelchair accessible and have disabled toilets. The venues for these events do not have a changing places style toilet, however. Please let us know if you have any concerns or issues around accessibility, as we are guided by you and your young people's needs, and can plan future events accordingly. Free disabled parking spaces available, although may be limited . You can see more about the venue here https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/education-children-and-families/your-space/life/youth-hubs-and-mobile-centres/youth-hub-glynn-owen/
