Young Voices and SENDIAS Shoreham Pop Up

Event

What is the event?

This Summer Young Voices 4 You, our youth voice group, are doing 'pop ups' with SENDIAS, the Information , Advice and Support Service; so you can pop in for a chat, a game, a snack , have your say , meet new people and get some advice. The Pop Ups are for 14 to 25 year olds with SEND and their friends and siblings. We will have different activities including games and art activities. The afternoon will be relaxed and friendly. We like to be busy and have some fun while we're talking about what is important to you as young people. We work with services like Short Breaks to get your views heard and help services improve for young people. We also socialise ,chat and get to know each other. The SENDIAS young people's advisers will be there to help you with any worries or issues you might have about college, school or training. The sessions are free. No need to book, just pop in. Young people are welcome to come without a parent or carer, although they must be able to be responsible for their own safety and welfare whilst they are with us, as young people will be able to come in and out of the session as they wish. We can not offer personal care for young people, so please bring your own carer if you will need this support. The session is in the meeting room, which can be accessed from the outside by a separate door. If you are having trouble finding us on the day, please ask at Library Reception. Parking is available, although this may be limited depending on how many other library users are in the car-park underneath the library. Disabled parking spaces available outside the library. Snacks and drinks will be provided, if you have any dietary needs please contact [email protected] For more details on the venue please see the library website, which includes a virtual tour of the meeting room https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/find-my-nearest/library/details/api/type/library/view/shoreham-by-sea-library
