Helping Young People Cope with Life (Families & Carers Programme)
Event
What is the event?
Helping Young People Cope with Life Feedback from previous attendees: "There was some great practical advice on giving young people skills to manage stress and control situations"
Eligibility This is a two-hour session for parents, families and carers who are responsible for children and young people in West Sussex.
This course is being delivered through a partnership between Coastal West Sussex Mind, West Sussex County Council and West Sussex CCGs.
About the course This course has been designed for parents and carers, to help build an understanding of the challenges 12-18 year olds commonly face. We will discuss what support, advice and coping strategies can be used to help young people cope with those challenges and ever-increasing pressure they are under to protect them against the risk of developing mental health issues in later life. The aim is to equip parents and carers with knowledge and skills that can be used to help guide young people through what can be tough and challenging times.
