About the course
This workshop is delivered by Aspie Trainers, a project which supports autistic adults to design and deliver engaging, high quality autism training which mixes thorough and up-to-date research and theory with the practical lived experiences of the trainers themselves.
This is a 2 hour workshop for parents, carers and family members of children and young people. By the end of this workshop attendees will be able to:
Describe the common difficulties which autistic people experience with communication Explain the impact that difficulties with communication can have on the lives of autistic people in different settings such as the home, the school/college and in adult life Explore ways to support autistic people to manage their difficulties with communication in a positive way
