Making Sense of the Annual Review Process of an EHC Plan

Event

What is the event?

Free workshop for parent-carers of a child with SEND based in West Sussex.

Delivered via Zoom by West Sussex SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIAS)

If your child has an EHC Plan then you may be aware that the law states that this Plan should be reviewed annually (or sooner if needed). This is commonly known as the ‘Annual Review’. The review process and timeframes for actions to be taken by the education setting and the Local Authority are also stated in law and statutory guidance and parent carers should have opportunities be able to be fully involved with this process.

By the end of this workshop you will know how the Annual Review works, how and when you can be involved, the statutory timeframes, how the Review Meeting should be conducted (before and during) and what happens afterwards. You will also know how and when an interim / emergency review can be asked for.
