Young Voices creative workshop- What is important to me

Event

What is the event?

This is a creative workshop, where we will use comic strips, drawing , artwork and creative skills. This is all about you having a say about what is most important to you, your friends and your family. We want to hear about what you think works well, and what could be done better, to help us improve services for young people. Help us write and design West Sussex County Council’s promise to young people with SEND. You might have design ,art, creative and/or writing skills you can use to help us make something interesting, attractive and young-person friendly. You might have loads of ideas and thoughts to share as an 'expert by experience ', or a friend or sibling of someone with a special needs and disabilities (SEND).

West Sussex county council already have a promise for children in care and care leavers. You can see this on the Children in Care Council's websitehttps://www.westsussex.gov.uk/education-children-and-families/your-space/youth-voice/children-in-care-council-and-care-leavers/

We think we need one for young people with SEND too, and we need your help to produce it! During half term, we will be gathering examples of what is important to young people and their families through online surveys, polls and workshops. This is part of the county council’s work to improve services for children and young people, including young people with SEND.
