What is the event?

Has your child been recently identified as having additional needs? Do you find the systems and support for special educational needs confusing? Would you benefit from a broad overview of how it all works?

This three-part course has been designed to provide an introduction on all the key issues parents/carers will encounter as your children grow and develop.

It aims to empower parents of children undergoing or who have recently undergone diagnosis but is helpful to any parents who feel they need an overview of the following subjects and issues: - - Coming to terms with and understanding your child’s diagnosis - Where to go for information and advice - Handling stress and building resilience - Gaining support from other parent-carers - Accessing benefits and financial support - Getting support for your child at school - Accessing support through health & social care - Accessing other key services and opportunities in West Sussex.

Dates: Wednesday 10th November 10.30am - 12.30pm Wednesday 17th November 10.30am - 12.30pm Wednesday 24th November 10.30am - 12.30pm

Booking one ticket for 10th November books you a place for all 3 dates of the course - 10th, 17th and 24th November.

THIS COURSE IS FOR PARENTS/CARERS ONLY (based in West Sussex)

After booking - Once you have booked a place you will receive an email confirmation from Eventbrite. Prior to the workshop you will receive a code to access the session.

You will need to download Zoom in advance but you don’t need to set up an account if you don’t wish to. Zoom can be used on PC’s/Laptops and mobile devices such as iPad, phones and tablets.
