Making Sense of Transition to Adulthood

Event

What is the event?

This workshop is for those parents/carers with young people with SEND who are beginning to consider the options available for when they leave school. It will give a general overview of transition related to ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ and an introduction to the Four Pathways (Employment, Independent Living, Community Inclusion and Health) which the individual may follow within their own transition. The workshop will primarily focus on the ‘employment pathway’ and provide information about different options available in education, training and employment for those young people with SEND. We will also discuss approaches to supporting your young person to make their own choices and move towards adulthood.

Our workshops are free but we would welcome a small donation to the charity (suggestion is £3). Please choose EITHER a donation ticket OR a free ticket on Eventbrite.
