On this page you will find the names of emotional wellbeing and mental health services that are commissioned by the National Health Service (NHS). The services are aimed at supporting children and young people (CYP).

There will be a short description of the service, links to more information and information on referrals where appropriate.

Information and support for young people and their families

E wellbeing - a website to support children and young people with their mental health across Sussex.

Emerging Minds - They provide support to CYP who have worries around COVID-19.

Healios - They have created a phone app called Thinkninja that provides self-help knowledge and skills for 10-18 year olds who maybe experiencing increased anxiety and stress.

Mind - A website that has information for young people to help manage there mental health in a range of ways and help to find support. They also have a section for parent-carers who are supporting a young persons mental health.

Young Minds- Provide information for young people, training for professionals and have a helpline for parents.

Your Space - A website with information for young people in West Sussex.

Description: A service for CYP to support their emotional wellbeing. Offers one-to-one and group support.

YMCA Dialogue

Description: Therapeutic support for young people presenting with mild to moderate emotional
wellbeing and mental health needs. Includes counselling, online interventions, CBT based support, family work and art psychotherapy.

Community Mental Health Liaison Service (CMHL) (Support for Professionals)

Description: Advice and Support for professionals working with children and young people under the age of 18 with mild to moderate mental health concerns.

Bereavement Support for families

Description: Counselling for CYP who have experienced bereavement in their direct family. Specific West Sussex offer for CYP who have experienced a traumatic death or are experiencing complicated grief.

Description: CAMHS are made up of specialist teams offering assessment and treatment to children and young people up to age 18 who have moderate to severe mental health problems.
