West Sussex SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIAS)

Page Updated 2nd February 2024

*SEND = special educational needs and/or disabilities

SENDIAS offer accurate, up to date and impartial information about the law on special educational needs and disabilities. They provide information in many ways, including through their website, a written blog and resources (e.g guides and printable factsheets).

Watch the video to find out more about how SENDIAS can help you.

Information and advice can be offered on the telephone (0330 222 8555), and by email: [email protected]
Please do let them know if you have additional needs and need support to access or understand the information.

If needed, support can also include helping with letters, attending meetings with you or supporting you in discussions with the local authority, school or other setting. This support may be offered by way of a SENDIAS volunteer. The service will also do their best to tell you about, or put you in touch with, other groups or organisations that can help. Please see the service's What you can expect from us document if you feel they may be able to help you.

Advisers from the SENDIAS service attend events and deliver training. For more information see the events page on the SENDIAS website.

If you are interested in volunteering for the SENDIAS then visit their Volunteer for us page on the SENDIAS website .
