St Richard's is a warm, welcoming and inclusive Catholic school that works in partnership with pupils, parents and a dedicated staff to provide the best education in which learning is an enjoyable and fun experience. We aim to foster in our children a desire for life long learning and to develop a growth mindset in order to help them reach their full potential. We aim to help all our children to succeed because for us every child really matters.

What we do:

We aim to plan the best experiences for children so they can learn and grow not just academically but emotionally, socially, spiritually and morally .We regularly assess and review what we do to see that it is working.
We work with parents as partners in their children's education and offer support for in school and home learning. We listen to what our children have to say about their hopes and dreams and how they think we can best support them to achieve their goals.
We work with agencies such as Speech and Language, Physiotherapy, and the Inclusion team to support the educational, physical, social and emotional needs of our children. Our own Playtherapist and Learning Mentor support children, staff and parents.
Staff attend regular training in areas such as literacy, maths, dyslexia, speech & language, social/emotional needs and English as an additional language. We have specially trained staff to deliver interventions in maths and a variety of other areas.
We welcome all into our school and have accessible parking, entrance and toilet, a hygiene suite and a lift to ensure the school is fully accessible and supports the needs of our whole school community.
