Sight loss doesn’t just affect your child - as a parent, you need support too. Our Family Support Service provides practical and emotional support at every stage of your family’s experience with sight loss.

What we do:

  • One-to-one support for your whole family​​​​​​​ - Our Family Support Service provides practical and emotional support at every stage of your family’s experience.
  • Coping with a diagnosis - Discovering that your child has a sight condition can be a difficult and confusing time. You may feel anxious about what the future holds and have lots of questions. We are on hand from the moment you hear the news.
  • Helping you to access practical support - There are many ways to access practical, emotional and financial support, but finding and using them can be confusing. We can help you identify and access the support that best meets the needs of you & family.
  • Supporting your child’s development​​​​​​​ - You will have some important decisions to make about your child’s future, including their education. We’ll help you to explore all the options so that you can make the right decisions for your child & family.
