Options West Sussex
Service
Options West Sussex provide services to adults with a diagnosis of Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome in their own homes, in education or day placements, in paid or voluntary employment and in the community. We also deliver services in association with West Sussex County Council as part of My Network and My Network Plus.
What we do:
- We facilitate individuals to move on within the service (from residential care to supported living, or from one type of accommodation to another)
- We offer a flexible service, from two hours per week to assist with budgeting for example, or up to 24-hour support, 7 days a week
- We support individuals to learn all the necessary independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping for food, clothing or new furniture, booking holidays, helping them with their finances, paying bills & making appointments.
- We support, empower and encourage individuals to take an active part in their community and access mainstream leisure pursuits and interests, as well as encouraging families to join in. This includes meals out, trips to the cinema or theatre, swimming, go
- We listen to the individual and significant others and design a personalised, flexible service which is tailored to meet individual needs and can be adapted over time
