Discovery Dyslexia

Discovery Dyslexia assessment services is run by a friendly, fully qualified Specialist Teacher and assessor (with current APC and AMBDA/ PATOSS membership). I have a background in primary teaching and have taught in a number of schools in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex, over a 25 year period (with over ten years' experience as a Specialist Interventions teacher). Roles have included working for the local authority and for Virtual Schools and supporting child and adolescent mental health.

What we do:

Full diagnostic assessments for Specific Learning Difficulties (dyslexia) for students in Key Stage 2 and 3 (aged 8 to 14)
Standardised testing of literacy attainment with short report (not diagnostic)
Informal assessments to inform target setting for literacy intervention or tuition
Assessments carried out at my home office, at your home or in your school or college (by arrangement)
PATOSS and AMBDA membership/ accreditation and current APC holder (Assessment Practising Certificate)
