Sensory Support Team, West Sussex (Inclusion)
Service
The West Sussex Sensory Support Team works directly with children and their families, pre-schools and schools to support and promote the inclusion of children with sensory needs in a range of settings. New referrals should be made to either the Visually or Hearing Impaired Lead Advisory Teacher 01903-270430 you can also download the referral form and permission form. View our privacy notice here.
What we do:
- Liaise with colleagues from Health and Social Care to ensure a joined up approached with parents at the heart of decision making.
- Provide specialist advice and reports for Special Educational Needs assessments.
- Advice may also be sought from the SENCo of the child’s early years setting or school.
- Provide specialist technologies on an individual basis for curriculum access.
