St Joseph's CE Junior School
Service
At St Joseph's CE Junior School we are committed to developing a successful learning community, based on Christian values.
All our learners are enabled to fulfil their potential in a stimulating environment and an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
What we do:
- We work closely with parents to identify and support their child's learning needs. We offer regular meetings to discuss each child's progress.
- We provide appropriate provision to all pupils with a special educational need. This may be within the class, through small group work or 1 to 1 with a specialist Learning Support Assistant.
- As well as support provided by our own staff, we work closely with agencies, such as Speech and Language, Play Therapists and Learning Inclusion.
- A child’s targets will be set out on an individual plan, which will include support that is additional to or different from the usual school curriculum.
- We work closely with our local infant schools and secondary schools to ensure that pupils make a good transition between different stages of their educational life.
Our users say:
"For our son, the SEN provision has helped him develop more in the areas he has difficulties with and as a result he has gained more confidence in himself."
