At St Joseph's CE Junior School we are committed to developing a successful learning community, based on Christian values.

All our learners are enabled to fulfil their potential in a stimulating environment and an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.

What we do:

We work closely with parents to identify and support their child's learning needs. We offer regular meetings to discuss each child's progress.
We provide appropriate provision to all pupils with a special educational need. This may be within the class, through small group work or 1 to 1 with a specialist Learning Support Assistant.
As well as support provided by our own staff, we work closely with agencies, such as Speech and Language, Play Therapists and Learning Inclusion.
A child’s targets will be set out on an individual plan, which will include support that is additional to or different from the usual school curriculum.
We work closely with our local infant schools and secondary schools to ensure that pupils make a good transition between different stages of their educational life.
