Warden Park Primary Academy

Service

At Warden Park Primary Academy pupil learning, achievement, progress and well-being are at the centre of all that we do. Children progress well because of the creative and challenging experiences they take part in every day.

What we do:

  • We respect each child as an individual, nurturing them to achieve high standards whilst becoming independent and successful learners. All our children are happy, safe and secure. WPPA is fully inclusive offering accessibility to all learners.
  • We provide an exciting, stimulating, creative curriculum so that our children make good progress and have opportunities to learn and play in a variety of settings We recognise the importance of early intervention to identify Special Educational Needs.
  • Teachers, in discussion with parents will discuss potential difficulties or special educational needs a child may have with the SENDCo– Mrs Shirley Gardner, and we involve parents and children in all decision making.
  • We aim to provide quality provision to support and include children within the classroom. Where concerns have been raised, recognised and recorded, a programme of targeted support and classroom strategies are put in place to address the needs identified.
  • An Individual Learning Plan for each individual child with an identified need, will be drawn up to show strategies and resources that will enable them to access the curriculum within the classroom.
