St Giles CE Primary School
Service
We are a small nurturing Church of England school at the heart of our community. We do our best to ensure that all our pupils are happy, able to achieve their full potential and leave us as confident learners, having enjoyed their St Giles experience.
What we do:
- Our Christian faith underpins the schools aims, values and vision. We have developed a rich, vibrant and captivating curriculum which puts learning at the heart of our school and supports all children to make progress, no matter where their journey begins
- A range of evidence is collected through school assessment and monitoring. If this suggests that your child is not making the expected progress, the class teacher will consult with both you and the school SENCO to decide next steps.
- Your child’s class teacher /SENCO will begin to work on an Individual Learning Plan. This plan will be finalised with you and your child so everyone involved has a voice in the process. This plan is regularly monitored and updated by home and school.
- At the end of the year the plan will be assessed by the school, parents and child and a decision will be made as to what support, if any, will be needed in the next academic year.
- External support services play an important part in helping the school identify, assess and make provision for children with special education needs along with a continual training program for staff.
Our users say:
This is a lovely, nurturing small school. The children look out for each other and the staff create an open, safe environment. My child loves school and is eager and enthusiastic to learn.
