Whizz-Kidz

Service

Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with the wheelchairs and mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods. But the wheelchair is just the start! We want all disabled children's lives to be full of fun, friendship and freedom.

What we do:

  • Wheelchair Skills Training. We know how important it is to get the most from your wheelchair. Being able to use it safely and confidently at home, school, work and travelling can make all the difference. This is designed to be educational services.
  • Ambassador Clubs- Our Ambassador Clubs (youth clubs) are a place for young disabled people aged 10 to 25 to meet up, learn new skills and have fun! This is a great thing to do, with peer support and contains educational aspects.
  • Employability Training- Every year we give employment training and opportunities to hundreds of wheelchair users enabling them to develop their skills and confidence in accessing working life. This provides great peers support and development.
  • Camp Whizz-Kidz- Camp Whizz-Kidz is a three day/ two night short break for young wheelchair users which brings together key parts of Whizz-Kidz training, being educational, fun! We have three age ranges for Camps: 12 to 14, 15 to 18 and 19 to 25.
  • Volunteering and leadership training –we offer young people like you volunteering and leadership opportunities so you can build up your skills and lead our services. This is a educational service, that provides peer support.
