Ifield Community College

Service

Ifield is a co-educational maintained community college situated on the edge of Ifield. The school moved into this new building in September 2005. We are committed to supporting all of our students and working hard to raise their achievement.

What we do:

  • Students with Special Educational Needs and /or Disabilities are supported according to their individual needs. We offer a range of support to all students, there are five strands to our support.
  • Students attending our college are screened and support is identified early. Parents/ carers are central to the success of their children and regular meetings take place to discuss and evaluate support. If necessary outside agency support is engaged.
  • We are committed to being an inclusive community. It is recognised that students may need support at different times in their Educational Journey. The support is in place at ICC for all students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is currently attending the new training programme. We have a fully qualified EP and Solution Focused Therapist who offers a range of support for our students. We also work closely with outside agencies.
  • Our college strives to support and reward all students. The Inclusion team works closely with the whole staff to provide differentiated lessons and support wherever necessary.
