Funtington Primary School

Service

We are a small, warm and welcoming village school, and as such, we know all our families, individual pupils and their needs well. We are committed to providing engaging and stimulating education, with the child always at the heart of all that we do.

What we do:

  • At Funtington Primary school we foster a 'love of learning' and are always 'moving forward' so that we can provide the skills that will prepare our pupils for their life long learning journey.
  • We believe that quality teaching is vital to children's success. For some children there are occasions when further additional support may be needed to help them achieve their targets.
  • When a child is identified as requiring additional support, provision is put in place to support their learning and progress further. This could be class, small group or 1 :1 support as appropriate.
  • We believe that partnerships are vital to encourage children's learning and progress. We work closely with parents to ensure that children's needs are met. We are happy to offer advice and signpost to services that will help support children at home.
  • The Senco works closely with teachers, support staff and other agencies to ensure that provision is implemented successfully. Teaching and support staff have opportunities through the year to attend SEN training, so pupils needs can be fully met.
