Downview Primary School

Service

Our aim at Downview Primary School is to provide every child with a happy, safe, secure and caring environment where every child can achieve their full potential through a curriculum which motivates, nurtures, engages, excites and challenges.

What we do:

  • Support in class. Every child at Downview has a broad and creative curriculum that inspires them to become excited, engaged and self-motivated learners. Every class teacher plans for the variety of needs within the classroom.
  • Additional support is provided where needed, either individually or within small groups, to allow every child to achieve their potential.
  • We work closely with external support services to help us identify, assess and make provision for children with special education needs and/or disabilities.
  • Working with parents. We collaborate and meet with parents regularly to assess children’s progress and the impact of any additional support and resources.
  • Working with other schools. We work closely with other schools in the Felpham and Bognor Regis locality to ensure best practice and a common approach is in place.

Our users say:

"The school is a happy, purposeful and caring environment where pupils thrive...Excellent and thoughtful behaviour contributes to pupils' good progress." Ofsted Inspection Report 2011
