At West Park we place a strong emphasis on every child achieving our core curriculum and also learning to be creative, independent and adaptable. Our aim is to work with you to ensure your child experiences success every day.

We are very fortunate to have a Special Support Centre where we offer specific small group support. The vast majority of pupils are in class with their peers and only use this base for targeted provision.

What we do:

Communication- we know that good communication about progress and areas for development enable us to work as a team to support your child. We will write, review and involve you in their Pupil Passport each term.
Family and School Partnership- although we have termly parent consultations and pupil passport review meetings it is also easy for you to make an appointment with our SEN team at any point: whether you have something to celebrate or something to share.
Teamwork- our teaching and support staff work alongside our Specialist Support Staff and other agencies to make sure our children have access to resources and specially trained staff.
Inclusion- we are very fortunate to have a Special Support Centre where we offer specific small group and one-to-one support. The vast majority of pupils are in class with their peers and only use this base for targeted provision.
Environment- we are a very friendly school where everyone will work together to enable our pupils to become independent. The corridors are wide, the classrooms spacious and children are able to access appropriate support independently.
