Billingshurst Primary School
Service
We are committed to ensuring that every child is happy in school, loves learning and makes the very best progress they possibly can. Our large and welcoming primary school, with 626 children, aged 4 to 11 on roll, is at the heart of Billingshurst village.
What we do:
- We are an inclusive school: we welcome and celebrate diversity and we have a fully inclusive approach to all opportunities and experiences for children with Special Educational Needs and/ or disabilities. Our school building is fully accessible.
- We are committed to providing high quality classroom teaching for all children including those with SEN and/ or disabilities. We have high aspirations for children with SEND. We place emphasis on children’s social and emotional well-being.
- We identify children’s Special Educational Needs and adapt classroom teaching or provide additional support to meet individual needs. Children’s progress and additional provision are regularly reviewed.
- We place high emphasis on learning basic skills but also on learning to be creative, resilient, independent and adaptable. We encourage each child’s talents and interests and we provide a range of activities in sport, music and the arts.
- We are a welcoming school with an open door policy and daily contact with parents. We work with children and families to achieve the very best outcomes for each child, both academically and socially.
Our users say:
