Lyndhurst Infant School (Special Support Centre - SSC)

Service

We are an inclusive and happy first school with an attached SSC for children with ASD. Our 3 Core Values are 'Learning For Ourselves, Respect and I Can'. We believe that the education of children is a partnership between parents/carers and the school.

What we do:

SSC - meets the needs of children with a diagnosis of ASD
Family Engagement TA and learning mentors supports families
Best endeavours to support children with wide range of diagnosis including Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Sensory and/or Physical needs.
Engage Therapies to support children - for example, Play Therapy,Occupational and Speech Therapy, Social skills, Learning Mentors, Talk Time, Range of Intervention groups as appropriate.
High quality teaching and learning that is personalised and Training to support staff and children- we have the National Autism Awareness Award
