Farney Close is an independent residential school for children and young people aged between 9 and 18 years. They all have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Heath needs or/and associated special needs such as Autism, Moderate learning difficulties and Speech and Language requirements.

What we do:

The school has a long history of working successfully to support children and young people both in our school day settling and in our week residential provision. We offer both day and 5 day boarding places.
We offer a full curriculum to pupils in small class groups of no more than 8. Teachers are very experienced and so pupils make excellent progress in their education. Many pupils leave with a wide range of exam qualifications
Pupils are very well cared for by experienced staff. Pupil safety, wellbeing, self-confidence and independence skills are the focus of all our work. We provide a wide range of activities to develop self-esteem and relationship skills.
A range of therapists support our commitment to meeting individual’s needs. In addition to staff support, other therapy includes an Art Therapy, Speech & Language therapy, Counselling and specialist teachers for dyslexia and associated learn needs.
Our vocational building offers pupils a range of new subject options including hospitality and catering, construction, mechanics and beyond that we offer Duke of Edinburgh, Performing Arts, and Art and Media.
