The Dyspraxia Foundation is a national, registered charity with its administrative and fundraising centre in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1987, it is financed entirely by membership subscriptions and private donations. It acts as a resource and information centre for those wishing to learn about dyspraxia, its diagnosis and treatment. The Foundation operates a telephone help line, publishes information on dyspraxia, maintains a website with useful information and organises conferences.
What we do:
- Offer a helpline service (01462454986) Monday-Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm
- Offer memberships
- Organise workshops and local support groups
- Publish information on dyspraxia, maintain a website with useful information and organise conferences
- “The object of the society is to relieve the disability of dyspraxic children and adults, to promote better diagnostic and treatment facilities and generally to encourage a wider understanding of the condition nationwide."
