Duncton CE Junior School

Service

Lavington Park Federation is made up of two small rural schools; Graffham Infant School (for children from 4 - 7 years) and Duncton CE Junior School (for children from 7-11 years). We are a Forest School who nurtures every child as we discover, imagine and learn together. We provide a distinctive learning environment which promotes independence and creativity, providing our children with a passion for investigating the world around them.

What we do:

  • We have high expectations for all pupils and consistently strive to enable them to meet their full potential.
  • We teach in small, developmental groups to ensure every child's potential is realised across all subjects.
  • The Federation works in partnership with our wider communities. We aim to develop positive working relationships with our parents and recognise that you play a vital part within their academic, social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Training of staff is important across our Federation and we review our knowledge regularly. We embrace new ideas and strategies to support learning and will seek advice from outside agencies when necessary.
  • All children are always aware of their own 'next steps' for learning, supporting individual progression throughout the year. These are regularly reviewed.

Our users say:

Ofsted 2014: Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary in lessons and around the school. They are very reflective and show great consideration for each other and the adults around them.
