Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School

Service

QEII School is a special school for pupils aged 2 - 19 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, or complex needs. We place great emphasis on the value of each individual and our pupils are at the centre of everything we do. We pride ourselves on celebrating the steps children and young people make towards being independent and fulfilled individuals.

What we do:

  • Our curriculum is broad, balanced and pupil centred. Every child’s physical, social and emotional well-being is important and the curriculum is adapted to meet their needs whilst also being aspirational.
  • Relationships with parents, carers and the wider community are vital to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils. Pupils take part in regular visits out in the community as well as doing work experience and visiting link colleges.
  • Our multi-professional team includes a speech and language therapy team, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and a school nurse. By working together, the holistic needs of every child are addressed.
  • The school is committed to learning through Performing Arts and our facilities include a theatre and art studio as well as a hydrotherapy pool, immersive space, rebound room and forest school.

Our users say:

"Love QEII, staff are lovely and approachable”, "Fantastic school, all staff go above and beyond their jobs. Given my child so much confidence and belief in herself. School excels in performing arts” - Parents Feedback
