At Thomas A' Becket Infant School we strive to ensure that our school values are embedded across the curriculum, Respect, Effort, Attitude, Collaboration & Honesty. We want all our children, including those with additional needs and special educational needs, to 'REACH' for the stars in their own way.

What we do:

We are a large, fully inclusive infant school and we serve the needs of families with children in the 4 to 8 age range. We work in partnership with parents to ensure that children with additional needs and SEN fulfil their potential.
We aim to identify and provide for children with additional needs in communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, mental and emotional health, and sensory and physical needs within a mainstream setting.
We work collaboratively with parents and other professionals to agree outcomes for the individual child and to set individual targets to help the child meet these outcomes as best they can.
Our existing staff have a range of expertise in meeting the needs of children with additional needs and SEN and we make full use of services within the Local Education Authority and the NHS and those offered by independent providers.
Our building is wheelchair accessible and we have changing facilities and toilet facilities accessible to wheelchair users and a hoist facility. We have a hearing loop system in the halls, and a portable soundfield system.
