Three Bridges Primary School (Special Support Centre)
Service
Three Bridges Primary School is a mainstream primary school which in addition has a Special Support Centre (SSC) for children who have speech and language difficulties.
What we do:
- To be considered for a place children must have an Education Health Care Plan or Statement. Children are based in their mainstream classroom supported by SSC staff where necessary, as well as withdrawn for specific interventions & speech therapy sessions.
- The children who attend our SSC have been identified and assessed by a Speech and Language Therapist as having significant receptive and/or expressive language needs.
- Our SSC provides 1:1 and small-group Speech and Language Therapy.
- Individual programmes of work are devised by teachers and Speech Therapists to address the pupil’s Statement of Educational Needs.
- We are committed to the inclusion of pupils in school and we regularly liaise with and support parents.
