Chichester Festival Theatre

Service

Chichester Festival Theatre is one of the UK’s flagship theatres, renowned for the exceptionally high standard of its productions as well as its work with the community and young people. The Theatre is fully accessible and offers Signed performances, Stagetext Captioned performances and audio-described performances throughout alongside touch tours and relaxed performances. Compass Card holders and their companions can receive a discount on ticket prices at the Theatre and special offers.

What we do:

  • Relaxed performances for individuals, groups and families with children on the autistic spectrum, sensory and communication disorders, a learning disability or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed theatre environment
  • Audio-described, Signed and Stagetext Captioned performances
  • Access and Touch Tours
  • Facilities include 16 wheelchair spaces, Free Sennheiser listening units, accessible lifts, Access List, and free parking for disabled patrons in the Northgate Car Park which is next to the theatre.
  • A free companion scheme called 'Buddies' which supports those who don’t feel able or comfortable attending a performance on their own and might need a little extra support during their visit.

Our users say:

I have been to relaxed performances at other theatres in the past but never have I been made to feel so welcome. A wonderful, inclusive event.
