St Andrews C.E. High School

Service

St Andrew’s is a distinctly Christian School which has inclusion at its very core. Our vision is to enable our community to live life wisely, with dignity and faith, experiencing life in all its fullness. As our most recent Ofsted report states, “Pupils are proud to attend this nurturing and highly inclusive school where kindness flourishes”.

What we do:

  • Before joining St Andrew’s all parents are invited to visit and see the school in action. Students enjoy a realistic experience of Secondary School on their “Taster Day”.
  • Student reviews take place when students first arrive at St Andrew’s to ensure all academic needs are met, and staff fully understand every student’s needs.
  • Oxford and other scholarship programmes are run to support students explore a full range of opportunities. A broad range of after-school provisions support all students to engage in a wide spectrum of enriching activities.
  • Students on the SEND register are known to teachers, with lessons planned to meet their individual needs within the classroom. Some students have additional support from our SEND staff or outside agencies.
  • Parents of students with SEND are invited to attend parent’s evenings. In addition, lower school parents are invited to review Pupil Passports during parent’s evenings to ensure regular reviews are undertaken between school and parents.

Our users say:

“Each student is treated as an individual and the caring support offered alongside a rich and diverse curriculum allows all students to succeed regardless of ability."
