Free disabled persons' bus pass

Service

Free bus travel is available for disabled people with a bus pass. You will be required to complete an application form and send relevant documents. You should then receive your pass through the post within 3 weeks of your application being received. Forms are also available at your local West Sussex Library. If you require any advice please do contact the dedicated helpline.

What we do:

  • Check the website for whether or not you qualify for a free pass / what you will need to provide when you apply.
  • If you are applying for a disabled persons' pass, you may also be able to request a Companion Pass if you need a companion to travel.
  • You can use your pass in West Sussex (not bus N700) - anytime on weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Any other local authority in England - Weekdays (9.30 to 11.00) and any time weekends and public holidays.
