Extratime has provided inclusive clubs & holiday schemes for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities since 2003. We are passionate about high-quality, inclusive play and leisure opportunities children and young people of all backgrounds, abilities & interests. We are committed to partnership working with all of our stakeholders.

What we do:

  • At Extratime, children and young people have fun, try new things and make friends. Our highly trained and experienced teams offer a range of activities in a creative, stimulating and above all, fun environment.
  • We are passionate about high-quality, inclusive play for children and young people of all backgrounds, abilities and interests. The individual strengths of each child are at the heart of everything we do and we take seriously the trust that parent carers
  • Clubs and schemes are based in venues across the area, including schools, youth clubs and community spaces. A comprehensive registration process and high staff ratios allow us to support children according to their individual strengths and needs.
  • Play and leisure is our focus, but our teams are also fully trained to meet the individual additional needs of our children and young people - challenging behaviour, alternative forms of communication, emergency medication and tube feeding.
  • Activities include arts and crafts, cooking, sport, music and drama. Clubs and schemes also have visiting professionals who add to the mix with face-painting, balloon modelling, specialist drama workshops and music.

    Feedback from the September Fun Day 2017

    A young male said to his worker “can you put this in my book, I want to come again”

    “This is amazing”

    Mother told KD “My son would never touch paint but the last two fun days he has been too he has loved it.”

    “It was my first time here and it’s so cool, I am waiting to go on the trampoline because it’s my favourite” – CYP.

    “I love the insects because I am an insect boy” – CYP

    What did we do well today at our Family Fun Day?

    • Everything.

    • Learning new skills.

    • Relaxed atmosphere and lots to do.

    • Great choice for events and activities.

    • Range of activities, lovely people.

    • Trampolining, drumming and rafts.

    • Made us feel welcome.

    • Friendly and welcoming.

    • Variety of activities in a safe and friendly environment.

    • Amazing, lots of fun.

    • Helped run after Oliver after he tried to escape each time.

    We had a total of 43 CYP attend the Fun Day event in December. They had a great time with Christmas arts and crafts, Trampolining, magician, soft play, circus skills and a sensory tent.

    “our son M has serve autism so the 1:1 ratio is extremely important & works very well for him. The experience & skills of the staff seems excellent at least one had a background ABA which feels me with confidence in the level of expertise as well as a variety of strategies used”

    “Just want 2 say a huge thanku 2 everyone who worked the East Grinstead holiday club at St Mary's School, my 8yr old Son had the best time ever 2day and he can’t wait 2 do it again! You guys made a boring, stressful half term and every fun and exciting 4 my Son!”
