Children's DJ Workshops/sessions
Service
Description: DreamCatcher Productions are pleased to offer the Junior DJ Project to young people within the local community. The project was set up to make music accessible to those that display an interest and passion. Learning to DJ helps children develop self-confidence, communication skills, and team work and discover a musical talent within. The project works with children from the age of 6 and over and teaches them basic techniques with the option to further develop their skills later on.
What we do:
- Children will learn in small groups basic mixing techniques and use a variety of skills such as listening, hand, eyes, ears coordination, and communication.
- Our workshops are delivered in a closed setting to a group of no more than 30 children between the ages of 6-12 for an hour and half session.
- Our service is open to all, however it has proved beneficial to those with behaviour issues, poor listening and motor skills. It also helps children develop the ability to manage a series of tasks helping improve coordination.
- All of our youth leaders are DBS checked and have years of experience either, working with children, youth work, and special needs children.
