Growing Together

Service

Growing Together is a Social Enterprise providing a Day Service for adults and young people age 16 plus based. We provide a programme of therapeutic horticulture, life skills and supported work experience which could lead to employment.

Growing Together supports people who use our services to be active, valued members of the community, live well and reach their potential.

What we do:

  • We are based at St Barnabas Community Centre, Worth Road, Pound Hill Crawley. Our opening hours at Monay-Friday 9am - 4pm. We have a flexible approach, enabling individuals to progress in the settings and time frames that work best for them.
  • Our social and therapeutic horticulture sessions provide a range of activities such as growing plants and organic vegetables. As well as having therapeutic value, the sessions can be used to improve literacy, numeracy and work-life skills.
  • Workmates offers an opportunity to develop skills that could lead to further work experience or even paid work through our various supported work experience schemes.
  • The Garden Crew - out and about maintaining various community spaces. Barnie's Cafe - experience the hustle and bustle of working in a community cafe. Life's Little Luxuries - making bath and beauty products to sell on our on-line shop and market stall.
  • We recognise how vital it is to support young people to lead purposeful and meaningful lives beyond education. We support families and work in partnership with schools and colleges to enable a smooth transition in to work-life.
