Making Sense of Adult Life is a handbook written by and for parent-carers of young people with special needs and disabilities (aged 14-25) in West Sussex making the transition to adulthood.
What we do:
- Content includes planning your child's future; further and higher education, employment & volunteering; social and leisure activities; growing up and relationships; benefits & money matters; moving to adult health & adult social care; housing, etc.
- The book also contains a directory of over 400 relevant local and national organisations and an extensive jargon buster
