Service

We are a new, 11-16 secondary school, based in Worthing. At capacity we will have 900 students on roll. We are growing in size year on year, but at present have a small offer of SEN support available to our students based on staffing capacity.

What we do:

Upon entry in year 7 students complete CAT tests and other appropriate tests. From this, intervention programmes are planned for the rest of the academic year. This in turn forms our planning for subsequent years intervention.
We run a social communication group that we offer to students who are struggling to form friendships, have confidence issues and or self-esteem difficulties.
At present a SENCo is on site once a week and is contactable via the school reception team. Appointments to see the SENCo can be made via email or through contacting the school office directly.
Within the support for learning department we have two experienced LSAs who support statemeneted students within lessons as well as run intervention programmes.
As a new build we have lift access to our first and second floor making us an accessible building for all students.
