Sensory Spectacle

Service

Sensory Spectacle educate about and create awareness of sensory processing difficulties.

We do this through creating experiential learning environments to help the public feel how it might be to have a sensory processing difficulty. We provide workshops, training, 1-1 support, talks and awareness at events in order to help people empathise and personalise the support which they give to someone with SPD.

We work all over the world with parents, professionals, siblings, students and the public.

What we do:

  • Workshops can be arranged in-house for a team or parents group for up to 15 people. Topics for these can be a sensory refresher, what spd is, how we can recognise needs, how to support sensory needs and development, how it might feel, sensory curriculums.
  • Bespoke experiences are our Sensory Classroom and Sensory dining room experience. Both give the participants a first hand experience of how spd might impact you in that environment. In the dining room you are served a 3 course meal.
  • Talks and presentations can be to create awareness and better understanding of what SPD is. Our individual learning experiences are with us for talks as well.
  • Becky, the founder of Sensory Spectacle in 2014 has 7 years experience supporting children and young people 0-19 years with complex health needs and disabilities. This experience alongside a masters is how she has learnt what she teaches.
