Boingboing

Service

Boingboing is a not-for profit organisation. We run regular Resilience Forums, develop Resilience Frameworks, books and other materials, and offer training, workshops and talks on resilient approaches to life’s challenges. We aim to be inclusive and we provide many free resources on our website. Boingboing believes in co-production and the majority of the work that we do is co-produced by members of the local community including young people.

What we do:

  • Our monthly Resilience Forums in Brighton are free to attend and cover a variety of topics from a range of speakers. We get a friendly mixed group of people including parents, carers, young people, practitioners, academics, policy makers, volunteers.
  • Resilience Forums usually run from 1.15-3.00pm, in the format of introductions, presentation by the speaker (sometimes including group activities or discussions), then Q&A. Afterwards we often head to a nearby cafe to continue chatting.
  • Everybody is welcome, we advertise sessions as 'for ANYBODY (with a pulse!) involved with or interested in resilience research and practice'. You don't need any prior knowledge, although you may get more out of it if you have a poke around our website.
  • We love feedback and for people to get involved and take ownership of the space. Whether you want to pass out the name labels and register, greet new people, or you just want to lurk quietly and listen, you're very welcome.
  • Resilience Forum tickets are free and can be booked online through our website.

Our users say:

"It felt as if everybody played a part in it. Great!"
